Reservation inIndia is a good way of engineering social justice . . .It was started by / with support of people who were no getting the benefit of the policy . . . .out of pure concern for the country . . . . .citizens. . . now it has abecome more a political issue . . . .specialy its being used by the selfish politicians for their own benefits. . . .it comes in to lime light exactly at the time of elections . . . .then goes to cold storage . . . . .if government wants to realy implement it, it can do that without any opposition . .. . . . without caring for the oposition . . .. landlordship, privy purses of royal families, nationalisation of banks, landsheiling act are the examples when people lost bigger benefits . . .their role as a ruler . . . . .. . . .. . . but no, then they (politicians) will miss the headlines, so they want to cut the chicken on the cross road . . . .to show what they eat!
More over how come a rule will last for ever without being outdated and losing the context. So is the reservation policy! It was aimed at improving the downtrodden, there were so many floss in its implementation; but in last more than 50 years it has done good for few if not many people . . . . .If they continued exploiting this policy . . . . . they will never allow others in their same community to come up. Also it will have a bad effect on the society grossly. Bad effect you should come and see in Tamilnadu where you will not find even a single Brahmin some time in government instituions/ departments . . . . its in the phase of reverse discrimination . . .. . more over once upon a time medical college of Chennai- Madras medical college used to harbour the top professionals- now you find hardly few. Once upon a time there used to be large contribution in UPSC, IIT. This Year only less than 9000 students appeared in IIT and UPSC results you can find number around 30! The reason is that here Brahmins are usualy docile and the only group other than them in forward community is Chettiar- Vaishya Baniya. The bigger fact is that the castist combine here knew how to extract work from the government machinery in a castist manner- not like our mulayam or laloo who actualy didi not know how to work.
Concept of creamy layer will avoid Tamilnadu like situation and make sure that the benefit reaches to the lower strata realy and the needy ones. Otherwise you can see in Tamilnadu that people of same family keep taking the benefit for generations together and the the once who couldn't take the benefit in earlier generations . . . .remained unefected/ devoid of any benefit till today! This way we will have a group of people from every community who will be benefitted again and again . . . . and will never allow the reservation policy to be useful for the needy ones. More over they (those who are benefiting for generations) are the ones against creamy layer concept! As they are having the risk of losing the "royal" traetment. Make these people out of this categroy and soon you will that these people have started shouting against the reservation policy altogether- then you ask them about their attitude/ responsibility for the socity/ towards the weaker section . . . . . . . .. till that time their statements should not be taken impartial and so decisive.
