Naxalism in India vis a vis Terrorism
Second important quote- choices have consequences.
Terrorists and naxals have opted for such life, every one in their (same) situation has not become same way, has not followed the same path.
Still I have full sympathy for them. In my opinion naxalism in India has born out of ignorance and inadequacy on part of administration, administrators and facilities in our country. It is due to failure of the well to do people to make people understand that they are the part of the system. Most of the people feel its because of leftist influence, but in fact its just that they are leading the masses, the support which they enjoy is not because of some Marx, its because of our own administrators' and leaders' ignorance who enjoy the facilities sitting in the big towns and cities.
To me an individual actively associated with naxal activity is some one whose life has been lit by the light from the wrong side of the society. That wrong side is Marxism. But responsibility of leaving the dark area in the society is ours. Whatever is the cause.
So in my opinion, we should have full sympathy with them and try to convince them and make them learn the reality of the world.
I think up to some extent same thing employs for terrorism except the fact that most of the time its supported by some or other state/ country which can't do the work on its own so they are firing by using the unofficial army. But in that case when our own people start supporting the enemies, we have to look in to our selves. Though no society in this world is fully clean having 100% social justice and caring for human rights, but we must try to achieve that ideal state. once we try to do that, terrorism loses support in our own citizens, its no more terrorism, its guerrilla war. Its not that simple but I think we can understand like that and try to make better out of the situation.

The northern Indian languages from the Indo-European family evolved from Old Indo-Aryan such as Sanskrit, by way of the Middle Indo-Aryan Prakrit languages and Apabhramsha of the middle Ages. There is no consensus for a specific time where the modern north Indian languages such as Hindi, Marathi, Punjabi, Sindhi, Bengali and Oriya emerged, but CE 1000 is commonly accepted. Each language had different influences, with Hindi/Urdu and closely related languages being strongly influenced by Persian and Arabic. The South Indian (Dravidian) languages had a history independent of Sanskrit. However in later stages all the Dravidian languages had been heavily influenced by Sanskrit. The major Dravidian languages are Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.
By explaining these, my aim is to stress upon and bring out the complexity cropped up in our social and national life. There has long drawn mixing of races, languages and civilization in this part of the world. The fact is that even after so many centuries (no one knows exactly about the time period) there are adequate signs of existence of all those groups. No one has been devastated/ eliminated. I feel we should be proud of that. But our politicians and few short sighted intellectuals, both for their own mean purposes, try to deepen the furrows and utilize the history for their own purpose. This demographic variation was sought as basis for division of the country on religious grounds. Luckily by our leaders many more divisions have been prevented. Of course our democracy has worked as the basis to mitigate all the problems.
Dear friends, caste system is not only due to the caste system of ancient
Now where is the problem? Problem was in untouchability. The untouchability feature in the caste system is one of the cruelest features of the caste system. It is seen by many as one of the strongest racist phenomenon in the world. This one factor we as Indians, as Hindus are trying to overcome. But few people have started taking benefit of their birth in those communities. When the social stigma attached was going to die, they want to keep the memories alive so that they can take benefit out of it in socio- political terms.
There can be everlasting discussion about these things. The fact is that caste system if untouchability excluded, was the result of evolution and civilization. Cruelty associated if we leave the untouchability factor, has never been different from the usual contemporary behaviour anywhere in this world.
In my opinion this caste system is like self made social and political cocoon of

My prescription for happiness: From Rajnish to Baba Ramdeo, all inclusive!
With increasing mechanistion and division of labor which means increasing civilization, people became busier and life more complicated. Something was missing in this fray. They looked around and found that it could be named as happiness! But they were not clear how it comes, how it looks like . . .. all they knew that it is essential component of life. People became confused about the meaning of “happiness”. And the confusion continues. Many people have tried to understand the reason of loss of “comfort”, “happiness” even in presence of all physical amenities for the same. Every one claims that his idea is the best. But to me it appears like description of an elephant by the seven blinds! From sex to saints to karma yoga every thing has been tried and spoken about. Then which one is correct? Or at least which one is the best?
As a physician I have analysed the usefulness of all of these different methods of achieving happiness. In my opinion, every claim is only partly correct! As good as the description of the elephant by the seven blinds. What matters is customization of the therapy for different person/ patient to me!
Starting from happiness through sex and celebration given by Rajnish, to yoga - sadhana which seems to have reincarcinated with different computer babas like Ramdeo, all has its own limited but important role in human life. Its dose, period and mode of delivery need to be decided properly. Every method has to be used precisely in a particular person depending upon his merit. I have mastered this complicated issue; please contact me for free help if you need.
Why our politicians play cheap ………………politics . . . …………
They also find that the people are running for the shortcuts. People want quick fixes. No one is ready to wait. People go by caste, religion, region, language and still lower subdivisions found day by day which was never heard of earlier . . . . . . Our leaders are no more people with noble ideas and solutions of the problem. They no more show the ways! They have become the followers of their supporters. If the supporters say jai sri ram! Jai sri ram becomes their election slogan! Up to some extent even this is fine. But if a leader can’t see the dangers or the falsies of the popular feelings, he doesn’t deserve to be called so. And not only that, he should show the way out of it which should be better and acceptable . . . . . . hope we will get one such leader soon . . .. . . or else wait for me.

Kashmir and India
Going to the little bit of history, this blood bath is the result of the same hatred campaign started by Britishers which resulted in separation of Pakistan. At that time few states were in confusion over their inclusion. It included Kashmir (king Hari Singh), Hyderabad (Nizam) and Junagarh (Sir Shahnawaz- father of zulfikar ali bhutto). Indian leaders tactfully (!) or by their laziness waited for the opportune time for intervention. In kashmir it was when Pakistan supported militia invaded. After invitation from the king the militia was stopped and Kashmir was integrated with Indian nation with special status which still continues. Fight to get the area under control of Pakistan army (the militia were non but undressed Pakistan army) was continued till Nehru requested UN intervention which called for peace and election by the Kashmiris to decide for their choice of nation- whether they want to be with Pakistan or with India. At that time Pakistan did not want that to happen being aware of the consequences as the people of Kashmir were annoyed with the Pakistani invasion. As his simplistic character, Nehru couldn't see the future. And the result is everlasting pain to every one concerned.
Here I must mention the role of Abdullas in Kashmir. Sheikh Abdulla who started his political carrier from struggle against feudalism under the banner of his party called muslim conference, found friend in Nehru and went ahead with changing the name of his party to National Conference and participated in Indian Independence. He was the first prime minister of the Jammu and Kashmir. After death of Nehru, he was jailed and later exiled. later in 1974 he had compromise with Indira Gandhi and became the chief minister of the state till his death. After his death his son Mr. Farooq Abdulla became the chief minister. His grand son Mr. Omar abdulla has been the foreign minister for state in the BJP led NDA government. I remember Mr. Farooq Abdulla ststing- " Kashmir is the need for secular India as it is the only example where a muslim dominated state is part of India." Recently Omar Abdulla has aired his concern about the migration of Kashmiri pandits in no uncertain terms. In my opinion, Abdullas have been clear about their roles and in present India they are one of the few really secular leaders.
At present Kashmir is one of the most unsafe places in this world. Future depends on the policy makers of India, mass of Kashmir and the leaders of the region. Altogether the paradise of this world is in uncertain depth of problems where only time will bring it out from.
Pakistan and India
It was the result of a planned hatred campaign. The seeds of this hatred was sown by the leaving Britishers. Added by the selfish and impatient attitude of few leaders, this hatred campaign resulted in bifurcation of this country.
Problem now is not that we are two different countries, problem is that still we are not at ease. We (both Pakistanis and Indians) are yet to recover from that hatred campaign. The fact is that hatred campaign/ other forms of attack on India comes like life saver to the rulers of Pakistan now and then. At the same time inefficient, irresponsible, selfish, liar and coward politicians/ administrators of India use blaming Pakistan and its ISI as safe corridor to come out of any difficult situation.
But among all this there are few good things on both sides. Specially when there are democratically elected governments in power in Pakistan, relations are better. Though Pakistani text books teach hate to the young Pakistanis which Indian text books don't, there have been many national friends in both the countries towards the other side. From Pakistan to name few from beginning- Khan Abdul Gaffar Khan, Mulkraj Anand, Bhuttos, Nusrat Fatah Ali Khan and so many; really i don't know most of their names. People on both the sides behave in a friendly manner. That is the biggest hope for future.
What we on either side of the border have to understand that unity and co- operation is the need as we are neighbors and together we can do a lot. The mistrust is un- treatable only between the governments, with masses all that needs is shaking hands with each other and all the confusions will be over. No one wants to un- do 1947, but every one wants peace which is necessary for development. There are few people who feel that they can cheat the other one, and I have only one sentence for them; "future will not forgive you as you ugly design is not going to remain hidden for ever".

terrorist attacks in India
after life few people every politician gets a mood to move his tongue. nothing else. but even that reflects their blood. who ever talks, it sounds more political than the real concern or plan. i say after 60 years of independence and so much of revolution in communication, our demography which can suit any group in this world, how come our security personnels (including the intelligence agency and mainly i mean them only)remain clue less! what government plans for that? thats the real concern. those who are dead will never com back- at least learn from them- but we don't feel like learning. its because the politicians are thick skinned people. they don't bother about the masses. they don't feel the pain of others. Thats why we get attacked like this.

communication with a patient's father
Patient's father
Tonic- Clonic Seizures
We spent too much for his treatment, but to no avail.

Fits in child hood if associated with fever alone is nothing to worry or else we should not ignore it.
Waiting for ur reply-

Thanks Dr. Manish
1. New-born Screening : Normal
2. EEG : Tonic-Clonic Seizures
3. CT Scan : Normal
4. MRI is scheduled few months
Dr. Manish, let me make it clearer as to what really the case of my baby all about for your further analysis:
1. Both families (mine and my wife's) doesn't have any history of Epilepsy or the like.
2. This happen 5 days after they left in the Hospital (he was about 12 days old).
3. New born screen test says "Negative" to any disease.
4. 2 weeks after the incident, we consult a doctor (pedia-neuro)
5. My baby undergo EEG...and the diagnose was "Tonic-Clonic Seizures"
6. The said doctor, was the only pedia-neuro doctor in our province/island.
7. We take second opinion from other pedia-neuro doctor across the sea.
8. The advise was the same, so we decided to stick on our doctor to avoid extra expenses.
9. Presently, he is taking these medicines:
- Topamax (Topiramate)
- Rivic Acid (Anti-Convulsant)
- Otril
- Macrobeetlysine Syrup
- Depakine Syrup
10. We are visiting the said doctor every month or twice a month depending on the attacks.
11. There is a development (i.e attacks occurs less frequent)
My concern no is: Can my baby has a chance to live a normal life (even attacks occur) since until now, he can not raise his head, he don't know how to swallow foods/milk, he moves rarely when he is awake (but his eyes transfer from one place to another faster than normal). We are also wondering why when he is asleep, he seems to be normal : He is stretching his body and laughs (both he can't do when awake).
Correction

EEG reading is abnormal due to the presence of rare multi focal sharps from both temporo-occipital areas and fronto-central areas. There is no MRI in our area at present.

hello, medications are ok. u may need to increase the dose if seizure reccurs. sorry i did not know that philipines doesn't have MRI! in india we have one on every corner! well thats not "the" investigation. If its there its better (JUST TO SATISFY HIM). Most of the gross anatomical abnormalities can be seen by CT. But if u don't have MRI till date means u don't have neurosurgeon who can use it for epilepsy surgery minimum for next 10 years. That leaves u with no choice but to continue the medications. I hope and wish ur baby comes around.
thanks

In the Philippines, MRI is also available. What I mean is, in our province/Island it will be available by mid of this year. Have to check if there's any neorusurgeon in our province (24hrs ship travel to manila). Since we don't have much resources for now, me & my wife decided to wait until june, hopefully. Dr. Manish, is my baby's disease curable? or shall he suffer for the rest of his life?
Manish Kumar
hello,
first of all sorry for my earlier observation about MRI. If MRI shows any surgicaly excisable lesion, probably we can make the baby free of medications. If no, then it remains a matter of chance- if the baby remains seizure free with the present medications for 3 years- under medical supervision- you can reduce the medications and wishfully it can be stoped one day.
I mean to say, it might be a curable disease. Lets wait for the MRI/ control of seizures.

Thank you Dr. Manish, you gave us Hope! We will wait for the MRI result and will forward the same to you..Thank you really...May God Bless you and your Family.

communication with a patient's son
4 month back my dad had an heart attack, doc told us that was severe heart attack,
and if we want to save his life, he need to go for angiography and angioplasty. After angioplasty and angiography he was on ventilator for 15-20 days, but he is still unconscious, when we asked doc what is the reason he told us his brain tissue is dead because of heart attack!
Now he is not able to understand anything. He is now on liquid diet. For his breathing problem doc inserted one pipe in his throat through small operation. He can't speak, not able to respond,
but some time he smiles, some time tears come from his eyes,
he can move his hand and feet, doc told me this is the condition for rest of his life.
Can anyone guide me any other treatment which we can try at least my father can understand and respond to us.

your curiosity is valid. its because brain is such a tender organ, it can't tolerate a reduction in the blood supply by more than 50% for more than few minutes. if the cut in the blood supply is total brain will die within 3 minutes. and thats the limit of human interference. we have just that much time to act within.Patient's Son- thank you very much sir for reply,
It helped me to understand the condition of my father,
we should hope for the best, god is great he'll help us in some way. Sir i had noticed while my father was on ventilator they gave him sleeping injection twice a day, does this cause any serious problem? One of my friend told me, too much of sleeping dose will create problem.
